Strada was approached by a global architecture, engineering and construction company for assistance with the ironmongery required for a multi-million-pound complex in Gibraltar. This project comprised of not only the new St Bernard’s hospital, located at Gibraltar Harbour, but also hotel accommodation.
Strada supplied all the architectural hardware required for this extensive project. The ironmongery contract featured Strada’s Hoxton collection of high-grade stainless steel products. Strada ensured that the control devices for the swing doors to the high-traffic departments of the Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Unit were of suitable strength to operate reliably. Strada’s scope of supply also included colour-coordinated directional signs, as well as all emergency signage. The project also required anti-bacterial coating for the door furniture and hardware in designated areas in order to combat the spread of infection.
With a dedicated project manager taking full responsibility for the contract and ensuring the accurate and timely supply of door-set packs across the numerous phases of the project, Strada ably demonstrated its capabilities in handling complex commissions outside of the UK.
