Following a request from a client dealing in listed buildings, the Strada London team designed this stylish lever that has since become hugely popular. Formed in brass and with an imitation finish of unlacquered bronze, this handle will complement a period property or add another dimension to a contemporary refurbishment. It looks particularly stylish when fitted to a stark white door.
In response to a customer who wanted to maintain antique styling yet introduce something novel, the Strada London team designed this fabulous door knob. Manufactured in one of our UK foundries, it features our new ‘bruised’ finish, a subtle hammered effect to provide a period appearance and feel.
In common with the vast majority of our bespoke pieces, the base material of this cabinetry fitting is brass, ensuring an excellent quality of grip and a very even weight that would do justice to any application. Finished in polished nickel, this stunning piece can help any interior to stand out from the crowd.
The creativity of the Strada London design team came to the fore when a client required a bespoke bronze lever set. Its extreme weight conveys the feel of lasting quality while its unusual ridged design definitely turns heads. Very popular with architects and interior design practices both in the UK and abroad, it has undoubtedly earned its place in our ‘Legends’ portfolio.
When a client requested a ‘gold-like’ finish to complement a front entrance door, the Strada London team took up the challenge. With an ergonomic feel, the ‘Bond’ Beaufort lever is manufactured from high-grade brass, ensuring the long and reliable life for which Strada products are renowned. The appearance of the lever meets perfectly the client’s specification for a combination of old and new – with the finish of an antique masterpiece, its square rose adds a modern edge.
The striking design and finish of this lever is the result of a client’s request for a ‘masterpiece’ for their luxury residence. Manufactured from solid brass and finished in polished nickel, this lever would complement any premium interior, while also providing a high-quality feel in operation. To ensure continuity for the client, Strada London also supplied a matching bespoke snib turn and release set.
Designed and manufactured as an alternative option for the client that ultimately chose the ‘Polished Taw’ lever on rose, this variation features a satin stainless steel finish. Also wrapped in a tactile leather grip, the subtle design of this lever adds character to any setting.
Manufactured in a polished stainless steel finish on a matching rose and encased in genuine leather, this lever is the epitome of quality. Supplied on a sprung rose to ensure easy operation, it combines a feel of solid quality with an appearance to suit any high-end interior.
The finish of this lever is one you would be unlikely to find elsewhere, as the brief from this client was to provide something that no-one else had. This handle is similar in style to the ‘Carbon’ Beaufort lever on rose but the finish is in gunmetal in order to replicate a distressed look. As with all bespoke items, the client required various samples and finish options before making a final decision. The efforts of the design team were rewarded through this impressive lever design, which we are delighted to share with existing and prospective clients.
A client who had received the standard Beaufort lever on rose in a previous project wanted a version that would stand out from the crowd. The setting was to be London’s second largest detached residence after Buckingham Palace. The Strada London design team got to work and made the lever shorter to best suit its application, while making the rose thinner and the fixings visible in order to create a detailed look. Finished in chestnut bronze, the lever is machined to the exact dimensions of the original Walter Gropius design.
The manufacturing and finishing required for this bespoke lever was a little unusual but this was, of course, no problem for the Strada London team. The handle is slightly longer than standard to ensure it is even easier to operate, while also adding an extra dimension to its surroundings. The burnished edges applied to the lever give it a rustic appearance to suit the interior in which it is fitted.
